Chandelier Milan
This chandelier, is a reinterpretation of the Louis XV style (with its three storeys in the shape of eight coiffé) but also of the first empire style (with the balloon models with metal crown).
Mixing these two inspirations in an original creation, it is composed of two superimposed hot air balloons, surmounted by a floor of Drops-shaped pampilles and small rosette arms.
Two golden bronze crowns carry the twenty-four arms of light.
The whole is magnified by the laces that adorn the two hot air balloons and by rock crystal pendants.
Crystal rosettes and a globe surrounded by dagger perfect this assembly.
A similar model is found in the Louis XV style in the collections of the Louvre Museum, dating from 1750 (inv. O.A. 5137).
The chandelier of the bathroom of the Empress of the castle of Fontainebleau, dating back to 1809, also offers an eloquent parallel of balloon model with metal crown.
