Chandelier Orléans

Typical of the eighteenth century, this model is particularly sumptuous due to the number and quality of the pendants of which it is covered.

Composed of a gilded bronze base with a central shaft that takes over the shape of the daggers, this chandelier has forty-four light arms, spread over four levels along the central shaft.

The arms, embellished with chiselled vegetal motifs, take the form of those of the chandelier of Giovanni Battista Metellino at the Château de Maisons Laffitte (dating back to 1725). The arms are decorated with crystal cups and crystal pendanst. These are replicated throughout the structure of the chandelier, without adding to the whole thanks to the transparency effects.
