Chandelier Varennes

This chandelier is typical of the chain chandeliers of the 18th century, as for example the chandelier with arabesque of the castle of Versailles dating from 1780, which also has arms of similar light, or that of the same year with sixteen branches, preserved at the Louvre Museum.
Inspired by the Louis XVI style, it combines a finely crafted bronze with greater simplicity in ornaments.
Composed of a central drum decorated with glass pearl, this chandelier has six arms of light distributed in a circle.
The latter, in the form of tree foliage, have a flat cup and a flowery candle sleeve, as well as a spiral at their center.
The last connects the level of the light arms to the ornamental floor with chains.
The ornamental floor, which overlooks the whole, is itself decorated with pendants, at the birth of the chains of ornaments.
The combination creates a lightness and softness effect thanks to the fineness and curves of the light arms.
